This week has been a total blessing for Josh and me. For those of you are know me pretty well know that we have been struggling for a long time now financially, this past week has been a pouring of blessings from God financially and all around.
The beginning of the week was a little stressful for me but it was so much better than it could have been. I needed to go to the Social Security Office to get my SS card because I hadn't gotten it changed to my married name yet and it was causing some problems with my Medicaid coverage. So that morning Rachel and I went to the Library for her Story Time and for me to print out and application since our printer is out of ink. That took a lot longer than it should have so that made me a little antsy and then we went to Burger King to have lunch with the playgroup and give me a chance to fill out the application. I almost didn't go but I was starving and didn't know how long I would be waiting so I decided to go ahead a get something to eat. While I was there I told my friend, Becky, what I had to do and I think she could tell that I was a little stressed out because she offered to watch Rachel while I went downtown to the office. I am so thankful that she did because I don't know what I would have done without her. When I got to the office I drove around the building looking for a place to park and I found a spot on the backside. I parked the car but then thought maybe I should drive around one more time for a closer spot, I went to turn on the car and it was dead, by the way I was borrowing a friends car that day. I was like, oh no, but I went into the building and got everything situated. It was a easier than I thought it would be, only took 20 minutes or so. I went back out and tried starting the car and nothing. Called Josh and we figured out the battery was dead, so he made some phone calls (he was in Clarksville working which is 2 hours away from where I was) and was able to find a Brake Shop that would help. They sent a guy down with a jump box and got the car started for a second. HE had already left when I realized it died again. So I called the shop and they told me that it could be the alternator which would be a $400 fix. Ended up getting it towed to the shop and they told me that is was just a dead battery. Was able to get that fixed and drive to Becky's to get my sweetie pie. I was just crazy how everything worked out in the end. I know God had His hand on the whole situation.
Also what made this last week absolutely amazing was Josh's luck with the lotto cards. Monday he won $100, Tuesday he won $100, Wednesday he won $60, Thursday he won $500, Friday he won $500 and Sunday he won $500! It was amazing! I told him God was rewarding him for all the hard work that he had been putting in the last couple months. We definitely needed that money, it helped us catch up on a lot of bills and to get the transmission fixed in the Expedition. I now have a car! Yay!
I know this has nothing to do with my pregnancy but I just felt like I needed to share how God does provide. I feel like I complain a lot so an uplifting update was needed. On the pregnancy side I really can't complain. I've been feeling the baby move a lot and I just love it. Right now it's kicking me, so awesome. I still get a little sick in the morning but I think that is just going to be me this pregnancy. Looking forward to another blessed week.
