My Sweetie is 3 Months Old!

My sweet baby girl is 3 months old! Oh my goodness a quarter of her first year is gone already! This year is just going to pass me by... I know I am overdue for an update on miss Joleen but it has been rough trying to find a free moment. I have had a few but I chose to sit on my butt and watch some of my shows or take a little catnap but today I have chosen to write an update :).

Joleen...my sweet little butterball. She has grown so much these past two months. She is such a little sunshine! Oh my goodness does she smile! Almost every moment that she is awake is spent with the sweetest, cutest little smile on her face! She is starting to "talk" now and I love it. She has the sweetest little coos and when she gets excited she squeals, it's almost like she is trying to laugh, I hope she does soon.

The other day we got the top for the play mat out and Joleen just loves laying on the floor kicking and hitting and smiling at her toys. I almost think that Rachel was a little jealous that Joleen got a "new" toy because she was right there playing along with her, but, she is a very good big sister too, absolutely LOVES her Joleen. We've been getting better at tummy time too. Joleen will stay propped up on her arms and smile and I think she will be starting to roll over soon. She starts to lean towards one side but stops so who knows! I love that she is awake a lot more now and that her little personality is starting to shine through. She definitely is a little sunshine, my little chubby sunshine.

I am such a proud mommy! I have been breastfeeding her exclusively for 3 months now and I am just amazed! I never thought I would be able to do this and I just LOVE the fact that I can. I helped her grow on the inside and now I am helping her grow on the outside. When she is hungry I love that the second she find me she wraps herself around me and holds onto my shirt and doesn't let go. She'll wrap her cute little legs around my arm and snuggle herself up close, such an amazing bonding experience. Makes me sad that I didn't get to enjoy this with Rachel but very happy that I get to share it with her now while feeding her sister.

Another thing that I thought I never would do but have been doing for almost 3 months is cloth diapering. My friend Hannah's mom sent me a box full of Chinese prefold cloth diapers and some diaper covers. I ending up buy 2 different types of cloth diaper covers (Thirsties) to use as well. I feel like I have become so super green mommy by cloth diapering and breastfeeding. I do use disposable diapers at night and when we go out but when we are home during the day I use the cloth. Instead of using the old school diaper safety pins I use a Snappi to hold the cloth diapers together, such a cool invention. It looks like a "T" and has little teeth on the ends, you attach it to one side stretch over to the other and hook and hook it to the bottom as well. Holds the diapers close. We are just now growing out of the newborn size and Ellen is being such a sweetie again and sending me the next size so that I can continue cloth diapering for a little longer.

Well, I believe that is all that I have to report on the last 2 months. I still can't believe how big she's gotten and how fast! Soon I am going to have to do another update and I'm sure it will feel like I just posted this one!
