Week 10 - First Ultrasound

Today Josh and I went in for our first ultrasound. The wait was the longest part about the whole thing, when Dr. Ulmer came in it took a whole 10 minutes. I guess I'm still too early to see the baby by an abdominal ultrasound so she did it vaginally. When we saw the baby...oh my! That was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I mean I've seen it before on tv but to know that that's MY baby inside ME...wow...breathtaking. She took measurements and apparently the baby is exactly how far I thought it would be, maybe a day off, but still right on. After she was done taking all the measurements she let us just watch our baby. Oh that made me smile, the little guy was dancing, swimming, or jumping. Knowing that I have a happy, healthy, and active little guy in me is such a relief. I can still see it jumping around, so cute. Then she gave us a couple pictures and told me to come in again in four weeks. I thought I was suppose to have a colposcopy as well but she is going to do that at the next appointment so I still have to wait and find out about that. Today was a good day.
