Josh and I went to the doctor today for my first of many prenatal visits. It really wasn't what I thought it was going to be...well, I'm not sure I really new what to expect. The nurse that is taking care of my ob stuff , Maggie, is really nice and so is my gyno, Dr. Ulmer. All they did was take my blood...4 vials of it, a urine sample, she did and routine test for Gonorrhea and Syphilis and checked my uterus. Is that really all that they do? For some reason I thought there would be more to that. I guess even though it didn't seem like they did much, I guess overall it was a good routine check up.
Next time I go in is January 28th at that appointment Dr. Ulmer is going to do my colpocopy (for my HPV) and also Josh and I are going to be able to meet our baby for the first time. I guess I was kind of hoping to meet our little one today...but I have to wait almost 3 more weeks.
I know I'm due for my first belly shot marking 2 months...I'll have Josh take it and I'll post it soon after.
