Yes, I said monster. My little sweet princess has started showing me her little monster side. Rachel has become much more vocal and wanting to show her independence in everything that she does so when something happens that she doesn't agree with she will stop and throw a fit.Right now she is watching "Sesame Street" and has a book in her lap thoroughly enthralled with Elmo. So cute.
For the last month we have been blessed with some very nice weather so Rachel and I have been taking advantage of it as often as we can. We love going to the park. When we pull up into the parking lot she starts squealing with delight and then runs over to the swings forgetting about her beloved stuffed animals. It makes it so much easier to chase after her not having to worry about her frog and lamb. She has figured out that she can climb up the slide and go down it all by herself. My dad got us a webcam so that we can start talking to each other more and Rachel LOVES it. She looks forward to when Granma gets online. She's a little ham sometimes. The other day we were talking and mom saw one of her little melt downs and said that she reminded her of me. It almost looked like mom was going to cry. I know she misses when we were little and I know she wishes she could play with my little Roo. Hopefully one day soon we will be able to. Back the the temper tantrum, I knew I would be in trouble because I remember mom saying I was the queen of temper tantrums and Josh had his own temper problems as a kid. I know we will be able to handle her but sometimes it's really hard. I'm not sure if I enjoy this part of toddlerhood so much.
So last week was Easter and Rachel got to experience her first egg hunt! Our playgroup had an awesome party Friday, April 2nd. Rachel had on a cute little dress that Granma Roggasch gave her and a little basket that Kristin let us have. Rachel's little friend, Teagan, had the same dress on too. So cute.
When we went outside to do the egg hunt she caught on right away. All I had to do was show her an egg (those plastic one's with prizes inside) and place in the basket and she took off! She held the basket herself and found quite a few eggs.
The Easter Bunny was there as well and she loved him. She'd go up to him and give him a high five.
Overall it was a fun day.I would say more but my little needy one is kicking me off the computer. I hope you all had a blessed Easter and I will write next month!

I can't believe how much more mature Rachel is looking now!
What fun! I'm so glad you and Rachel had such a good time at the Easter egg hunt!
I, too, am very thankful for having the webcam. It certainly helps shorten the distance between us!
I love you!
