18 Months Old! Happy Half Birthday!

Oh my goodness does time fly by! I can't get over how much my little girl has grown and how fast too. I still can remember the day that I found out I was pregnant with her, seeing her on the ultrasound the first time, feeling her kick in me, holding her for the first time. Sometimes I miss the little baby but I am very much enjoying my little toddler.

Rachel had her 18 month check up today, she weighs 22 lbs and 32 inches long. She's exactly where she needs to be. She has quite a few words in her vocabulary now. Here's all the words she can say:

• bellybutton (belbu)
• want (no tay - her own word)
• thank you (thay tay)

• cheese

Lately she has been wanting to help daddy with work and to write and draw on paper.
She's becoming a cute little scribbler. Sometimes if she get frustrated with what she is doing she will put the pen or crayon in your hand and make you write or draw something for her. She does that if she wants something, like if her water or milk runs out she will unfold your hand and put her cup in it! Too cute.

Our cat Shadow likes to jump on the T.V. and we tell him "no" to get down and sometimes Josh will throw a pillow at him to get his attention, now Rachel has taken it upon herself to tell the cat "no" and she will point to him and threaten to throw her stuffed animal at him too! She is definitely going to be a little helper when she gets older.

On Monday we wen to Storytime at the Library for the first time. Rachel had so much fun. They all got together and sang songs, danced, and then heard a story. Then they did a little craft and danced to "Ring around the rosie." The whole time she was running around with a huge smile on her face and bopping little kids in the head with her lamb. We are definitely going again on Monday.
