My little princess is 15 months old! She is really starting to become a true toddler, even though she has yet to walk, all in good time. She had her 15 month check up last week and weighs 20lbs 9oz and is 30 3/4 inches long. Rachel has become a lot more independent in her playing. I will be doing something and I will look over and she is in her room entertaining herself with her blocks and stacking rings. It's only been this last month that she has shown any interest in those toys.
This last week was Thanksgiving and we were able to enjoy it with our friend, Kevin, and his parents. Rachel decided all she wanted was mashed potatoes and rolls. I guess she was nice and full and just so full of energy because she actually has room to crawl around at full speed. She was hyper! So hyper that she ended up taking a couple steps by herself! I didn't see it because she was out of my view but Josh did and freaked out. It's so cute, when Rachel pops herself up into a standing position we yell "yay!" and she gets the BIGGEST smile on her face. I really have a feeling that she will be walking or close to it by the end of the year.
Rachel and I have been enjoying the crisp Autumn weather so much, we have gone to the park pretty much every other day this month. It's now starting to get too cold to enjoy it anymore. While we were there I met another mom there who has a daughter a month younger than Rachel and they like to play together. The mom and I have become friends and she has invited me to join a mom's group with her. I have yet to check it out but it seems like a good thing. I am ready to have more friends and for Rachel to be around other kids close to her age.
The park has been so relaxing and fun for us. Princess just loves swinging and would be there all day if she could. One day I put her on the slide and I realized that I have a slide monster on my hands now. She absolutely loves it. She will scoot up to the end and the stick her hand out and hold onto my finger and just smile the whole way down. Before she would not want to do anything other than swing but now she likes playing in the little plastic play area and on the ground, she is now starting to explore a lot more. I have a feeling once she starts walking she will be all over the place.
I'm sorry for not having any pics to post this time. Apparently when we moved into our house now I left my camera charger at the old house. I didn't realize it until way too late so now I need to buy a new one and it's close to $50 to replace. Hopefully I will be able to get one before Christmas. I hate not having my camera, I have missed out on so many adorable pictures.
Well, that's about it for now.
