So this week I am starting to check my blood sugars and watch what I eat because of Gestational Diabetes. It's really not that big of a deal just a tedious. The only bummer is that I can't eat sweets like I want to. You know me and chocolate! Oh well. On Monday I have another appointment with the Diabetic Dietitian to go over the nutritional aspect of having Diabetes. So far in the couple days that I have been watching my blood sugars they have been pretty good. I just think I am barely diabetic but just enough to make everyone worry. I guess it's ok because what I am learning is going to help later on with the way I eat and take care of myself and of course I want Rachel to be as healthy as she can be.
With everything that is going on the main thing that keeps me going on is Josh. If I didn't have him beside me I don't know what I would do. He is my best friend and soul mate and I know that he is going to be an amazing daddy. I know that Rachel will never feel unloved by him, he's just a big teddy bear with a huge heart full of love. I am so thankful for him.
The week I had in Utah was great. The main thing that I did was spend time with my family, which was exactly what I needed. The next time I see the whole family will be when Rachel is 4 months old. That's crazy! Mom will be here for the birth though and that will be great.
My 23rd birthday was Sunday and mom threw me a party/baby shower. It was great seeing everyone from church and spending time with them in celebration of my birth and the upcoming birth of my daughter. I just want to say thank you for all that you guys did. I love you all.
