36 Weeks Pregnant!
Wow, I can officially say that I am now in my 9th month and getting so very ready for this little one to arrive. She actually made us think she might be coming this week but she ended up staying put. On Monday, after I took the girls to story time at the library, I started feeling some contractions. They weren't necessarily painful but they were bothersome and very consistent for about 3 hours. I called my doctor and she asked that I come in and be checked. I was dilated to a 1 but since I had been feeling the contractions for a little while she wanted me to go to the hospital and be monitored.
Luckily Josh was there was with me through this whole thing. He had a super busy day planned but when he came home to get a ladder, he saw that our water heater was leaking so he replaced that. Then I told him I felt like I was contracting and he took me to the doctor and then the hospital. I am so thankful for him.
It ended up that I was having some contractions but I wasn't in labor. It was enough though that it was making baby's heartbeat race a little, so they gave me some medicine and had me drink some water. Apparently I was just a little dehydrated. I was sent home and I have been making sure I drink enough during the day and we are still pregnant.
With all that, I am still hoping she comes a little early. It would be so helpful for when Rachel starts Pre-K in August. August is going to be a busy month for us, Josh's birthday is the 17th, Rachel starts school the 19th, my mom flies in on the 22nd, Rachel's birthday is the 23rd, and I am due the 27th. So I would definitely prefer little one coming around the 12th or so. Then we could have a week to adjust to her and be ready enough for the new schedule of school and life of 3.
I know that God is in control and I trust Him. Little Ms. Rebecca will arrive when she is supposed to and I know life will fall into place, even if that means that it will be a little chaotic for a while :) I'm ready.....almost.

Dear Sweet Little Baby Girl,
You made mommy and daddy think you were coming a little early! I realized that I am not quite as ready for you to be here as I thought. I hope you stay put for at least another week or so and then you are more then welcome to come say hi! I love you so very much. I love feeling you wiggle inside of me. One of the best things about being in the hospital for a little while was being able to hear your heartbeat and hear you kick the monitor all around. You are definitely going to be able to keep up with your big sisters. Daddy, Rachel, and Joleen are beyond excited to see you. Continue to grow strong and healthy for me. I love you dearly!
Love,
Mommy
